One time, I didn't have a real plan where we are really going. While driving, I saw several high-end real-estate developments on the side of the road and of course I noticed a large catchy billboard that caught my attention and eventually see what's going on.

Me and my date was taken by the real estate agent to their gorgeous model house. The moment we entered the house both our jaws dropped with its beauty and interior decoration, it was so right. It made me feel, "this is the kind of house where we will build our family."

While scanning the rooms and all the amenities me and my date started talking about our past...our wonderful years when we were still a child and our aspirations in life. This era introduced the experimental music videos from various bands. If I can remember right, the videos they play are like the ones in mp3 players in our desktops. I got a couple of new wave songs compiled in a CD which I listen to especially on long drives. It never fails to give me a smile every time I reminisce the good old times during the mid to late eights.

The eighties music have a very distinct and nostalgic sound, they seem to be the transformation from the rock genre to alternative music of the early 90's.

New wave 80's music will have a place in my heart and I feel that most of the greatest songs of the eighties was so intimately written by the artists and so personal.

Prevent Testicular Cancer

Testicular Cancer is one of the most dreaded disease that may effect the male sex for many natural reasons. Unfortunately this type of cancer is fairly hard to detect. Discovering it in the early and treatable stages is your best bet. If you're a female reading this article, share this to your male partner, relatives and friends.

Studies have shown that white male (caucasian men) develop testicular cancer at a higher rate. It is best that we track our family background about this type of cancer and all types of diseases for that matter. Having had testicular cancer in your family/relatives increases your risk factor.

Do your doctor a favor. Examine if you feel any lumps at least once a month. If you feel any abnormal lumps don't hesitate to have it examined by the doctor. As mentioned before, early detection is your best friend for treating testicular cancer.

Have a scheduled physical examinations regularly with your family or personal physician as part of your healthy lifestyle.

Most Dangerous Mountain; Annapurna Peak

Photo from wikipedia
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5vYTE5a0W5k/SOWQ4sW2EjI/AAAAAAAAAIY/IQOYXC7YywM/s320/Annapurna_Iimage.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5252763844051604018" />
I have a list of 1,000 things to do before I say goodbye to this world. One of them is at least stay for a couple days in a major base camp of the Himalayan mountains and do some trekking. No, I'm not going to climb any peak! That's far from reality for me. In my searches for my future plans, I came across a not so famous peak called Annapurma which has an odd story to tell.

Annapurna I, this col peaks at 8,091 metres (26,545 ft), compared to mount Everest's 8,500-metere (27,900 ft) its the world's 10th highest summit. Whats not special about its peak is the fatality rate of its successful expedition. As of 2005, only 103 successful summits have been made, and 56 lives were lost or about more than 50% fatality. Climbers killed on the peak include famed Russian climber Anatoli Boukreev in 1997, Christian Kuntner in 2005 and Iñaki Ochoa in 2008.

The Annapurna I peak was the highest summit reached by climbers in history on June 3, 1950. In fact it remained the highest peak reached for three years before Mt. Everest.

The Handy Nokia N96 Super Cellphone

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5vYTE5a0W5k/SOHdeZQgZlI/AAAAAAAAAII/hqputlByHSA/s320/NokiaN96image.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5251722154736641618" />
In the market for a new mobile phone? Keeping our vehicle in top condition is one of the best way of improving gas mileage, especially on older car models. Today I will be focusing on the driving style to improve the car's fuel efficiency.

A few years ago, we've been introduced to defensive driving style as a safety precaution on the road. I would like to incorporate some of these defensive driving tips to fuel saving.

Tailgate in a Safe Distance

Follow the car ahead of you in a safe distance. Especially on poor weather conditions. The ideal distance on city driving is about 2 to 3 seconds and about 4 seconds or more on fast highway speeds. This gives you time to turn your steering wheel to avoid accidents and abrupt braking of the vehicle ahead. It also lessens the chances of unnecessary braking - which improves gas mileage as well.

Highway Speed Limits

Disregarding speed limits is not only a violation and causes of an accident but also disrupts the traffic and low gasoline mileage. If the highway speed limit is 70mph, stick to about a line below 70 or better yet if the outer lane or the slower vehicle lane is traffic free and you can drive at a good speed don't hesitate to move to that lane. It's proven that slower driving improves gas mileage.

Anticipate the Road

Road positioning is a safe way to exit highways and avoiding unnecessary acceleration - another way to improving gas mileage. I'll give a scenario. On the highway, you are on the inner lane or the fast lane and soon exiting on the next town or probably need to fill up your gas, try to slow down a few hundred meters ahead, see your right side mirror for the incoming vehicle on the slower lane before you make a slow right turn and safely exit. Also try to slow down a bit while on the fast lane, match the speed of slow vehicle, let him pass and safely make a right on the slow lane instead of immediately accelerating and making a right pass to your destination.

More Smart Tips.

Park in a shade. Especially on a hot weather, e.g under a tree. This helps lessen evaporating of the fuel. Also the need of turning the ACU to high - Air conditioning is said to take up 10%-20% mpg.

Avoid shifting above the 2000 rpm. Shift just below this line if possible especially on straight roads.

Use your vehicle's overdrive capabilities always "ON". Overdrive gears are more efficient especially on highways.

Fill up your gas in early morning or late afternoon/evening. It is said that when the weather is at it's peak or when it's hot, gas tends to expand and reducing the gasoline you are filling up.

Fill up your fuel tank to about 4/5 or 80% when possible. This lessens the hassles and more importantly reduces your visit to gasoline stations - which also causes gasoline consumption. Why 3/4? Weight reduction is also a way to save gasoline per gallon.

These are some of the ways to save money on gas. Please do your share to find more tips to money saving tips on gasoline and incorporate them in your driving.

Swiss Army Pocket Knife

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5vYTE5a0W5k/SNxDYjBkAaI/AAAAAAAAAIA/aUV4vv5FPdo/s320/swissarmyknifeimage.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5250145354604872098" />
What do you keep in you pocket? Probably a mobile phone, a wallet and a hanky. Of course we bring all sorts of things when we go out of our house, depending where we are going. For the past few years since my teens guess what I'm bringing? Yes, you got it right, a Swiss Army Pocket Knife!

A Swiss Army Knife by Victorinox which I bought in the local mall during my high school days. Have you ever wondered if a woman you see is a good lover? According to experts, woman who are comfortable with their body are usually good in bed. And that aura shows.

Mindset her that she looks great and attractive. Don't lie. You wouldn't want to sack a woman just for the sake of it. It's pretty much obvious when you do that. The best time to say this is when she doesn't expect it coming. Like, when there's a moment of silence in a conversation or when you know she just came from the gym, try to notice even a simple improvement. Never exaggerate it when you please her. Saying "your awesome" seems nice, but it maybe too vague.

Set it up. Do the works. Bring out the candlelights, soft music, use low wattage bulbs, in other words make it conducive to a romantic evening. If your buying pillows or sofas, get the soft ones. Now lets go to you. You better relax, be comfortable yourself and things will go both on your way.

What the Woman are Looking for in a Man

Woman are always, I mean always looking for the something different in a guy. Something unique, something out of the box. It's sometimes not even something most guys think of. No, not the fresh smile, you see that everywhere, not the great physique, there's a lot of those types in the gym, that's too common. Its something else that will not just turn heads. This is the topic of our conversation the other night with my great looking female buds. Here's what I learned.

Do you remember the night outs with your guy friends and the purpose is to meet women, like in bar with all those great looking single or acting like single girls? I'm sure you've been to that at least a couple of times. If not, stop reading now! The girls maybe watching the "macho man" of your group with the loudest laughs, sloppiest acts like chugging the beer like hell. These types of guys end up facing the toilet bowl at the end of the night. But, if the latter is your objective. Try to behave, act with poise, don't scream and talk smoothly, clearly. Talk politely with the waiters and waitresses. If the girls are looking at your group, think of who they will be impressed with. Your guess is the right answer. Another breakthrough hopeful? With a sales increase of 17 percent over 2002, alpha-lipoic acid has been shown to help treat individuals with AIDS by inhibiting HIV activation, notes the Textbook of Nutritional Medicine. Furthermore, alpha-lipoic acid also increases glutathione levels in the body. Glutathione is an antioxidant that protects against cataracts in the eye; supplementing with alpha-lipoic acid may reduce the risk of cataracts in the elderly. A study done on rats showed that alpha-lipoic acid protected 60 percent of the animals from experimentally induced cataracts. Though alpha-lipoic acid gained popularity through its presence in cosmetics, Almada finds it useful to only a very select population in the United States. “Lipoic acid, when taken orally, has only been shown to have a significant effect on diabetic individuals with peripheral neuropathy (nerve damage), and they would have to take 600 mgs per day to feel effects. Most products contain no more than 200 mgs,” he says.

American Top 25: Supplements Climbing the Charts by Vicky Uhland, Kristen Lewis, Christine Spehar. July, 2004. Sometimes its frustrates me before, if I hear bloggers earning thousands of dollars month after month. I don't understand how, I even sometimes doubt its possible. Maybe he's just a salesman who learned how to use the internet and make up those incredible sales pitch. That's what I'm thinking about a few years back. Then I came across a site a last year that blew me away, 360 degrees! He shared his experience, knowledge and expertise on how-to and how he earned his fortune (take note, blogging will be the future of the internet) through blogging. Now after a year of reading and internalizing on how he did it. I realized it's possible. I'm now earning more than a thousand dollars each month and continue to blog about topics without having a hard time thinking what else is there to write about, because of the systems and procedure he shared. I would like to share this small "success" with you. Now, Remember if you know the process you're half way there. Read the reviews and learn more yourself. Most men suffer from erectile dysfunction at one time in their life or another, either temporarily or long-term. In fact, according to a recent National Health and Nutrition Examinational Survey (NHANES), 1 in 5 men will experience erectile difficulty sometime in their life - that's 20% of all men! The dysfunction becomes even more common with age. While not a matter of life and death, it can cause severe damage to a man's self-esteem, and may negatively affect his relationships with his partner.

Maybe you're too embarrassed to talk to your doctor. While it is advisable that you speak to a medical professional if the problem persists, it's possible that you can take control. Read further to educate yourself on this common male problem, and see what you can do for yourself with relative ease.

There are two categories of erectile dysfunction - physiological or psychological. The easiest way to determine what kind of factors are to blame, think about what kind of problem you are experiencing. If you are able to get a hard-on sometimes, such as via masturbation, or if you can't maintain erection, then chances are that your problem is psychological. If there is no erection ever, then it may be a symptom of a medical condition.

There are a numbers of medical conditions which may cause erectile dysfunction. A few include vascular diseases which harden the arteries, diabetes, radiation, and some prescription drugs. In this case it is vital to talk to your doctor.

A healthy lifestyle will help you maintain control. Eat right and exercise regularly. The Harvard Health Professionals Follow-up Study (HPFS) discovered that men who exercise three to five times a week are 30% less likely to suffer from erectile dysfunction. Smoking and drinking can also cause sexual dysfunction, so cut down on both, or preferably eliminate them altogether.

It's far more common for the cause to be psychological. In our high-stress times, it's difficult to focus on the tasks at hand. Stress, worry, guilt - all these and more negative feelings take us away from the moment. A registered sex therapist can help you discover the root of the problem, and is trained in how to deal with any issues that are to blame.

Some men go to extreme measures to solve their erectile problems. There is medication, implants, pumps, and injections, to name a few. All of these carry serious side effects and pain or discomfort, with only temporary results.

Consider trying an all-natural supplement, like Magna RX. It's an herbal supplement that works by increasing the number of blood cells in your penis, promising longer and harder erections with lasting power. Unlike surgeries, Magna RX is safe and pain free. Unlike a pump, Magna RX solves the problem with permanent results. So you'll be back to the way things were, except only better.

Cure Erectile Dysfunction Naturally

Erectile Dysfunction, or ED, is a sexual dysfunction that will affect 20% of American men at some time in their life. Whether the problem is temporary or chronic, it is a condition that greatly affects a male's self-worth.

Your physical or emotional health may likely be the biggest barrier between you and a satisfying erection. While medical attention may be necessary, particularly if erectile difficulty is a symptom of a greater medical issue that has gone undiagnosed, there are many things you can do to cure ED yourself, naturally. It's easier than you think; just follow these few suggestions.

Smoking causes impotence because nicotine is a vasoconstrictor, tightening blood vessels and restricting blood flow. Drinking is well-known to cause the dreaded 'whiskey-dick,' in which too much alcohol has been consumed to maintain an erection.

Reaching your sexual peak isn't just about taking out the negative, though - it's about creating a healthy lifestyle. Too many of us forget that erections are a process of the body, and to reach peak erection results your body must also be in peak condition. A well-balanced diet, with as little processed sugars and refined foods as possible, and a few hours of exercise a week will do wonders for your sex life. Regular exercise, between three to five hours a week, has proven to reduce the chances of impotence by 30% according to a Harvard Health Professionals Follow-up Study (HPFS).

We all know sleep is important, for a variety of reasons; for example, sleep deprivation affects your mood, memory, and concentration. It also affects your erection. Sleep deprivation is a common reason for being unable to maintain an erection. So be sure to get enough sleep. While 'enough' fluctuates from person to person, that's about seven to eight hours a night.

There are a number of herbs that have been used as aphrodisiacs for thousands of years, and are recommended by doctors. An herbal supplement takes the guess work out of ingredients and dosage, containing all you need in one single capsule taken daily. We recommend Magna RX. It contains 17 key ingredients, like horny goat weed, also known as epimedium, used in traditional Chinese medicine as an aphrodisiac for centuries, and L-Arginine, an amino acid that dilates the blood vessels and increases blood flow. There are no side effects to taking Magna RX; it's completely safe and natural.

Temporary erectile dysfunction is most commonly caused by psychological factors, such as stress, worry, or guilt. Try addressing any negative feelings that may be keeping you from focusing on the task at hand. There are registered sexual therapists who are trained in these situations.

Alpha Male Plus™'s maker MagnaRX introduces the New MagnaRX Plus Learn More...

Armstrong is Coming Back for the 2009 Tour de France

If you find the topics interesting
Get Posts by RSS feed or Get Posts by Email

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5vYTE5a0W5k/SMeodfzvunI/AAAAAAAAAF4/zoxzW_ygxmc/s320/amstrong2009tour.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5244345515804441202" />
Lance Armstrong is coming for the 2009 Tour de France. Yes, you read that right! Lance Armstrong is coming back from a 3 year retirement to bid for an eight Tour de France championship.

According to vanityfair.com, Lance Armstrong said, "I am happy to announce that after talking with my children, my family and my closest friends, I have decided to return to professional cycling in order to raise awareness of the global cancer burden," Armstrong said in a statement, while in an exclusive interview posted on vanityfair.com the 36-year-old cyclist says he has his sights set firmly on the Tour de France in 2009.

"I am going back to professional cycling. I'm going to try to win an eighth Tour de France," Armstrong told Vanity Fair.

Armstrong now 36 years of age and will turn 37 on September 18 is typically old for another grueling Tour. The oldest winner of the Tour was Firmin Lambot, at age 36 in 1922. But the sport has evolved. The training and the bike is totally different. The sport is more competitive than ever.

Lance Armstrong's comeback is said to be for cancer awareness and doubters who could not believe that the cyclist never doped. The sport is known for its illegal performance enhancing drugs the past few decades. Armstrong is said to be hiring a video crew to document his trainings.

Details of the said comeback such as a team and schedule—will be announced Sept. 24 at the Clinton Global Initiative in New York City.

Wow! This is something. I'm a road cyclist. I tried to to compete last year after months of training and stopped riding for a couple of months. Guess what? I totally lost the endurance to run even on such short distance its totally different.

How To Become An Alpha Male

What is an Alpha Male

The alpha male is the head of the pack, or leader of the group. In the world of business, they are usually successful. They are the ones who make the decisions and firmly stand on it. The alpha male sets the pace and usually everyone follows. In the community, they usually get the best ladies. So, do you want to be an alpha male? I guess yes. Remember the 1999 movie Fight Club by Brad Pitt as Tyler Durden? Most consider him a good example of an alpha male, well exaggerated of course in that movie.

What Makes An Alpha Male

The alpha male is a go-getter and an absolute risk-taker. He's got the guts and the grit to go after what he desires and we can sometimes assume alpha males are also egoistic in nature. He embraces risks and considers them challenges that need to be overcome. He measures his accomplishments by the severity of the risks that he's taken and takes pride from them.

The alpha male is also self-assured. He's confident. He's not afraid to face new challenges. In fact, he thrives in them. He almost always succeeds in whatever he endeavors because he knows he can and he will do in his mind. Alpha males have programmed themselves to be this way. Not all will like him, well on the second thought, not all will like us anyways.

A good trait to becoming an alpha male is comfortably dealing with people in different walks of life. Although it seems pretty ironic, he know how to treat them well and it should come naturally. No matter if he's your boss, colleagues or subordinates or whoever.

So You Want To Become An Alpha Male

On becoming an alpha male, first is you have to act like one and think like one. Although it does not come naturally to most people. You have to let go of who you were and focus on how to become a true alpha male.

You need to make yourself feel good. Hit the gym and do some weights, anything that will make you confident will make you a believable alpha male. Start with wearing stylish coats, a good men's watch, elegant leather shoes and the likes. As you noticed, to become an alpha male is not an easy task. It is, however, rewarding and it will boost your self confidence if you decide to become one today.

World Teacher's Day

World Teachers' Day is held annually on 5 October since 1994, it aims to uplift support for teachers around the world to further ensure the needs of future generations of teachers.

World Teachers' Day is supported by UNESCO and Education International (a global federation of education professionals worldwide) to commemorate the awareness and appreciation for the contribution that teachers around the world make to education and development and recommends all nations to celebrate the special day.

World Teachers' Day should also give us all the opportunity to thank all our mentors who have honed our knowledge and skills to be successful in all our endeavors. De La Hoya, 35 is said to be considering this fight "the grand finale" of a successful boxing career.

TALE OF THE TAPE

The fight will take place at the welterweight limit of 147 pounds, Pacquiao will move up two weight classes. De La Hoya will come down to 147, a weight he has not fought at since 2001. The most notable advantage for De La Hoya are his reach at plus 4 inches and height which Pacquiao is giving another 4 inches. Pacquiao is at his peak at 29 years old and De La Hoya 35, many considers a downhill age for the sport.

Manny Pacquiao is considered the best fighter in boxing today and is tagged the mythical "Pound-for-Pound" best boxer. "I am glad we were able to make this fight happen because while Pacquiao is at the pinnacle of his success and has defeated all of the top fighters he has faced, I am going to show the world that it stops with me. Dec. 6 can't get here soon enough."

Pacquiao said, the icon of his native Philippines, "This is my greatest challenge. When I take that walk to the ring to fight Oscar, I will carry all the people of the Philippines -- the entire country -- on my shoulders. I promise I will fight with all of my heart and that I will give everything I have. Like my trainer Freddie Roach says, I have what it takes to win the biggest fight of my life."

THE ODDS

MGM Grand oddsmakers opened the fight surprisingly close with De La Hoya as an 8-to-5 favorite.

Let's all wait and see...

How It Happens: Identity Theft 101 - Part 2

Continuation...

There is No Safe Place

Ultimately, there is no such thing as safety when it comes to personally identifying information. Any situation where you’re required to provide personal information and any circumstance where someone else knows enough about you to steal your identity is a potential opening for a thief. And there is just no way to protect yourself from every single possibility that might arise.

So, what do you do? Do you just give up? Or do you get belligerent about who you provide information to? Neither. Somewhere in the middle of that is where you should be.

For now, protecting your identity is about using caution in the right places. And since you can never be sure which places are wrong, it’s also about constantly being aware of your identity and how it changes over time. Monitoring your credit reports is one way to do that.

Security companies are working to produce new, better protected methods of identifying yourself. And the government is building legislation to help in that area, too. But we’re not there yet. Technologies still have a long way to go and legislation isn’t keeping up with the changing nature of identity theft.

In the meantime, you’re stuck in the middle. Use every caution you can use. But also be prepared in case the worst happens. If it does happen to you, realize it’s not your fault. Identity theft is a difficult crime to prevent given the identity-centric nature of our world today.

How It Happens: Identity Theft 101 - Part 1

Your Identity’s Been Stolen

Finding out your identity has been stolen is a shock. Everyone finds out the hard way. You may apply for a loan only to be turned down because your credit – which you thought was immaculate – is in shambles. Or you receive a past-due notice from the IRS for thousands of dollars on wages you never earned.

It doesn’t matter how you find out. When you realize your identity has been stolen you’ll experience every emotion known to man. It starts with shock and quickly graduates to anger but before it’s over you’ll feel downright defeated and probably ashamed, too.

There’s no reason to feel ashamed. But most people do, because they have no idea how their identity was compromised. For example, a news anchor in Nashville, TN learned his identity had been grabbed more than a decade before he found out about the crime. And the only reason he found out was because the illegal immigrants that were using his name and Social Security Number fell on hard times and couldn’t pay the bills they had created using the false information.

Imagine someone using your identity for more than 10 years without your knowledge. It’s a tough fact to learn, but it happens more often than any of us would like to think.
It’s More Than Simple Credit Card Fraud

The problem with identity theft is that in most cases, it takes a while to learn your identity has been nabbed. True identity theft – when someone steals your personal information for the purpose of creating or taking over accounts that belong to you or even to become ‘you’ – is a crime that can take some time to complete. Thieves must first acquire the right information about you, and then the accounts have to be changed or established.

What you hear called identity theft most often is actually credit card fraud. That’s when someone steals account information with the purpose of using your credit accounts for fraudulent charges. Credit fraud might show up on your credit card statement within hours of the actual theft happening. But with identity theft, it can take 30 days to 10 years or longer for evidence that your identity has been compromised to become evident.

That’s because an identity theft has a different purpose in mind. The thief isn’t looking for a quick buck. Instead he or she is looking for a long-term pay-off on what can sometimes be a time consuming investment.

The long-term advantage to identity theft can be pretty impressive. A thief gathers identifying information about you which can then be used to secure mortgages, open new credit accounts, set up utility accounts, and even land jobs. Most often, this type of identity theft is used to supply illegal immigrants with new, legal identities in the US. And since most immigrants really want to be honest, upstanding citizens, they’ll use your information responsibly.

It’s usually some unexpected problem that outs the theft – loss of a job, a misunderstanding of tax laws, legal problems, or even a tragedy that leaves unpaid bills in your name. But the methods used to gather your information are the same as those used for credit card fraud, which is why the two crimes are usually lumped under the heading ‘Identity Theft.’
How Identity Theft Happens

At the core, identity theft and credit card fraud are both results of the same actions. It starts when a criminal gains access to your personal information. That information includes your full name, date of birth, Social Security Number, address, telephone number, and the names of your family including parents and children.
In today’s world, a lot of that information can be gained with little more than digging through your trash and even engaging you in conversation in the grocery store line. For example, identity thieves will go through your trash and gather credit card statements, bank statements, and personal correspondence. This documents usually contain nearly everything they need.

To get the last few bits of information, a conversation at the grocery store or even a telephone call to your home usually works. These criminals are great con artists. They know what questions to ask and how to phrase those questions to get you to spill your guts. Before you know it, you’ve told someone you don’t even know your whole life story.

After that, all that’s left is to begin the process of creating another you on paper. They create new accounts, order copies of your Social Security card and birth certificate, and secure a new job in another state. And it’s done. Someone else who looks nothing like in you in real life is your exact duplicate in the paper and cyber world.

Of course, that’s not the only way to get your information. Phishing emails, spoofed web sites, telephone surveys, and even old-fashioned breaking and entering or purse/wallet snatching are also methods that identity thieves use. Even your medical records and employee records at your place of employment put you at risk.

Most concerning is the places that aren’t obvious where your identity can be snatched without notice. Remember the news anchor from Nashville? After a lot of investigating on his own, he eventually learned that his identity had been stolen when he applied for a private pilot’s license.

Others have learned that family or friends sold their identifying information. And many never figure out what happened. The one consistent factor in every case of identity theft is that it happens when you least expect it, usually in a place where you feel safe.

By Jerri Ledford, About.com

How to Win with a Bad Hand

HOW TO BLUFF You better make the whole story add up. It's kind of like when you are trying to get away with the perfect murder and you are dealing with the perfect detective. One little flaw in your story and you get caught. You have to convince yourself at every level that you have a good hand, and then act as if you believe it. How would a person with a good hand act here? Certainly a person with a good hand wouldn't throw his chips into the pot, sit up tall in his chair, and stare down his opponents. Those are are classic novice mistakes. What you need to do is find a neutral state., not overly strong and intimidating, not overly weak and passive-looking.
WHEN TO BLUFF In general, amateurs try to bluff too often. I would say that one out of 10 hands is about right. If you are playing in your home game and you are going to bluff, say, five times in a night, try to bluff earlier in the evening. Then you can play more conservatively later on and focus on the good action. It can be harder to bluff late in the game anyway, because people are being aggressive, trying to get back even.
WHEN NOT TO BLUFF A cardinal sin, and top pros do it all the time - I've done it - is to try and bluff the unbluffable. There is always that one guy in the game who is a bad player and he just doesn't fold. You know he's playing garbage, but, damn it, you're going to make him fold even if you have garbage too.
HOW TO MAKE IT PAY Even if you bluff with the right frequency you will eventually get caught. Remember who was in that pot,who was paying attention, and then use that knowledge to your advantage. Next time you have a great hand, let him think you're bluffing again so they'll bet high against you. Then collect the money.

"Poker Professor" Howard Lederer is a two-time Wold Poker Tour Champ

Roger Federer - Tennis God

Roger Federer has won twelve Grand Slam singles titles (three Australian Open, five Wimbledon, four US Open), four Tennis Masters Cup titles, and fourteen ATP Masters Series titles.

Career Highlights

Federer has won 55 of 76 finals during his career, for a winning percentage of 72.3 percent. This compares to 72.7 percent by Pete Sampras, 71.3 percent by John McEnroe, and 70.5 percent by Bjorn Borg. Making him the highly favorite to win when he enters a championship match.

From 2004 through 2006, Federer had the best three-year match and tournament winning percentages since the inception of the Association of Tennis Professionals rankings in 1973. Federer won 94.3 percent of his singles matches (247-15) and 69.4 percent of the singles tournaments he entered (34 titles in 49 tournaments, including eight of twelve Grand Slam tournaments). The three-year match winning percentage record was previously owned by Ivan Lendl, who won 92.1 percent of his singles matches from 1985 through 1987. Federer has since extended the record to four years, again besting Ivan Lendl and was very close to establishing the new mark for the best 5 consecutive seasons ever in the history of tennis.

By 2005, Federer had won singles and doubles titles on all four surfaces: hardcourt, clay, carpet, and grass. (Singles: Sydney 2002 (hard), Hamburg 2002 (clay), Milan 2001 (carpet), and Halle 2003 (grass); Doubles: Rotterdam 2001 (hard), Gstaad 2001 (clay), Moscow 2002 (carpet), and Halle 2005 (grass).

Federer equalled Sampras's open era record of 10 tournaments won on grass when he won the Gerry Weber Open in Halle in 2008.

Federer won 31 consecutive sets beginning with his Tennis Masters Cup round robin match against Andy Roddick on November 14, 2006, and ending with his first round match against Kristian Pless at the Dubai Tennis Championships on February 26, 2007

On October 27, 2007, Federer recorded his 544th career victory, which saw him overtake Carlos Moya (543) as the most active match wins leader on the ATP circuit.

As of July 2008, Federer has won singles tournaments in 17 different countries: Australia, Austria, Canada, People's Republic of China, England, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Portugal, Qatar, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, and the United States.

Roger Federer is still an active professional Tennis player at his peak at 27 years old and currently ranked number 2 in points only to Rafael Nadal at this time.
